Longtime schoolteacher Cora S. Dubble, 82, of 120 Krall Road, Myerstown, died Monday at Lancaster General Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of Clarence F. Dubble. Born in Jackson Township, Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lizzie Derr Spangler. Mrs. Dubble was a teacher and administrator with Eastern Lebanon County School District for 47 years. In 1992, she was named Educator of the Year for Lebanon County. A graduate of Elizabethtown College and Temple University, she was a member of the Educational Honor Society of Lebanon County and Delta Kappa Gamma. She also belonged to Farm Women No. 2, the Myerstown Golden Agers and the American Association of Retired Persons. Mrs. Dubble was historian of the Dubble Reunion. A member of Myerstown Church of the Brethren, she taught Sunday school for 60 years and was on the church board and deacon board. She also participated in the Women Works group at the church. Mrs. Dubble served on the boards of the Church of the Brethren Southern District and Lebanon Valley Brethren Home, where she did volunteer work and belonged to the Home Ladies Auxiliary. For four years, she served with Lutheran Social Services of Lititz. Surviving besides her husband are a son, David E. of Myerstown; a daughter, Charlotte D., wife of Richard Ranck of Leola; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
