John R. Dubble
John R. Dubble, 92, Mount Hope Dunkard Brethren Home, Lancaster County, formerly of Lebanon RD 1, died Friday, Jan. 19, 1990, in the home. He was the husband of the late Mary Kauffman Dubble and the late Mabel Martin Dubble.
Born in Jackson Township, Lebanon County, he was the son of the late Joel and Carolina Renno Dubble. A retired farmer, he lived in Jackson Township all his life.
He served as school director for 25 years on the Jackson Township school board and was secretary of the board for many years.
He was a member of the school authority of Jackson Township and the Heidelberg Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by daughters Mildred, wife of George Forry, Lititz and Kathryn, wife of Elam Ziegler, Bethel; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Knoll.

Mabel E. Dubble, 79, formerly of Manheim R3, died Monday at the Mount Hope Dunkard Brethren Church Home, Manheim R3, after a long illness. She was the wife of John R. Dubble, also of the home. Mrs. Dubble was a member of Heidelberg Church of the Brethren, Myerstown R2, and Group 2, Lebanon County Farm Women. Born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Minnie Ebersole Martin.
Surviving besides her husband are two stepdaughters, Mildred, wife of George Forry, Lititz, and Kathryn, wife of Elam Ziegler, Bethel R1; five step grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers: John Martin, Farmersville; Chester Martin, Lancaster; and Samuel Martin, Lititz; and six sisters: Sarah, wife of George Mathers, Manheim; Mary, wife of Willis Hackman, Elizabethtown; Lena, wife of John Zuck, Lawn; Martha, wife of Earl Hurst, Akron; Ruth Buckwalter, Elgin, Ill.; and Naomi, wife of Robert Orth, Ephrata.
