Obituary notes for Brenda Nadine Dubble
Brenda N. Dubble-Hess ELIZABETHTOWN Brenda N. Dubble-Hess, 66, of Elizabethtown
died Thursday, November 22, 2007, due to complications from Parkinson's
disease. Born in Reistville, she was the daughter of Martha M. Reber (Dubble)
Hackman, Lancaster, and the late Myron S. Dubble. Brenda was a graduate of
South Lebanon High School and attended Dale Carnegie courses. For many years,
she was a floral designer and instructor at Stauffer's of Kissel Hill. Her
entrepreneurial spirit and creativity led to businesses in floral design,
cosmetics distribution, leather crafting and later a home cleaning business.
She was employed by QVC until the onset of her illness. While raising her four
children, she was active in 4H, Boy Scouts and the Hershey Figure Skating Club.
Her interests included gardening, sewing, baking, cross-stitch, knitting,
sailing and traveling. She most enjoyed her family and the many beloved friends
who visited her home. She is survived by her mother, brothers, Kean B. (Joan)
Dubble, Elizabethtown, Roger G. (Jan) Dubble, McHenry, Ill.; a sister, Dona F.
(Earl) Moyer, Manheim; three sons, Wayde L. Hess and Todd R. (Marti) Hess,
Elizabethtown, Micheal R. Hess, Mount Joy; daughters, Dawn R. Hess, West Palm
Beach, Fla., and Kelly (Jeff) Kelchner, Elizabethtown; and four grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Life Celebration
Funeral Service on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Conewago Church of the
Brethren, 7035 Schoolhouse Road, Hershey, Pa. Interment is at the convenience
of her family. Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home, Ltd., 144 E. High
Street, Elizabethtown, on Wednesday evening from 79 p.m. and on Thursday from
10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research,
