Obituary notes for Ida Permille Spangler
Mrs. Ida P. (Spangler) Houtz, widow of William H. Houtz, of Ml. Zion, died last evening at the Lebanon County Hospital after a long illness. She belonged to Zion's Evangelical and Reformed Church at Mt. Zion. She was the daughter of the late John and Dianna (Gerhart) Spangler. She leaves two sons, John H., with whom she resided, George A., of Lebanon; and two daughters, Mary, wife of Wayne Darkes, Mountville and Sally M., wife of the Rev. R. M. Paine, Norristown; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, John, of Jonestown; Henry, of Myerstown R. D. 3; and Frank, of Middletown; a sister, Mrs. Emma Marks, Womelsdorf R.D. 1; and a number of nieces and nephews. [Lebanon Daily News, April 18, 1956, Page 2]
Obituary notes for William Henry (Spouse 1)
Funeral services for William Houtz, late of Mt. Zion, were held today at Goshert's Reformed Church, Mt. Zion. The Rev. Charles M. Kissinger former pastor, and Rev. Ralph Todd, current pastor of the church conducted the services. Interment was made in the adjoining church cemetery with the following a bearers: Peter Boyer, Colonel Darkes, Edwin Sherk, Paul Schlaserman, Norman Sherk and Miles Piefer. Willis R.
