Obituary notes for Gassert Ruth M.
Mrs. Ruth M. Reinhold, 85 died on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home where she was a resident of Leffler Care for 4-1/2 years. She was born March 6, 1925, in Greble, PA to Carson Gassert and Salennis Gassert nee Demmy.
She was the wife of the late F. Lewis Reinhold, Jr., who preceded her in death on November 6 of this year. Surviving are a son Bruce F. Reinhold and wife Isabel of Lebanon, daughter Carol A. Kercher and husband Robert of Lebanon, four grandchildren, David Reinhold, Deana Reinhold, Kenneth Kercher, Lori Kercher and two greatgrandchildren Colin and Kyle Kercher; sister Elsie Yiengst.
She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She held a part time job at Zeigler's Ice Cream Store and later worked at Winthrop Laboratories in Myerstown. She retired from Shroyer's Dress Shop in 1985. She was an active member of the Lebanon Church of the Brethren, serving as Deacon and singing in the church choir for many years. She was a member of Gideons International Auxilliary and Lebanon Keen Age Seniors. She did volunteer work at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home and sang in their Quartet, in addition to performing many solos. She loved people and cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren as well as other family members and many friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 9:00AM at Lebanon Church of the Brethren, 400 Locust Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00AM at the church.
Burial will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, following the service.

LEBANON F. Lewis Reinhold, Jr., 88, died on Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Lebanon Valley Brethren Home where he was a resident of Leffler Care for the past four years. He was born on Friday, July 28, 1922, to F. Lewis Reinhold and Ruth B. Reinhold nee Zimmerman in Denver. He was an active member of Lebanon Church of the Brethren. He was a World War II veteran serving from 1941-45 in the Quartermaster Corps. He retired in 1984 from Peiffer's Foodland, where he was employed for 33 years and known also as "Louie the Butcher." He was a member of the Lebanon Senior Center and served as president of Lebanon Keen Age Seniors. He was a member of Gideons' International and also enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was also a volunteer fireman and member of the Rescue Hose Company No.4 in Lebanon. Surviving are wife, Ruth Reinhold nee Gassert, Palmyra; son, Bruce F. spouse of Isabel Reinhold, Lebanon; daughter, Carol A. spouse of Robert Kercher, Lebanon; grandchildren, David Reinhold, Deana Reinhold, Kenneth Kercher, Lori Kercher; great-grandchildren, Colin Kercher, Kyle Kercher; sisters, F. Rosalie Bross, Ruth L. Lewis, June L. Hood, Rhea J. Rauch. Rhona J. spouse of Raymond Stonebach; several nieces and nephews and uncles and cousins. Viewing will be on Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lebanon Church of the Brethren, 400 Locust St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, following the service.
