Richard L. Bross, 87, passed away on Sunday December 11, 2016 at home and went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was the husband of Hazel I. Herrington Bross with whom he spent 66 years in marriage.
He was born in Bethel Twp., Berks County on February 28, 1929 to the late George M. and Mabel L. Merkey Bross. Richard was a 1948 Bethel High School graduate. He had served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, where he was stationed in Germany. Richard retired from Sterling Drug Inc., where he worked in the production mechanical division.
After retirement, he went to work for Manheim Auto Auction, having retired from there in 2011. He enjoyed singing in church choirs and was attending Faith Baptist Church. Richard was a member of Myerstown Gun Club, Palmyra Gun Club, and R Field and Stream. He enjoyed trap shooting and skeet shooting, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Marsha K. and her husband Craig M. Messinger of Myerstown; one granddaughter, Joy Victor; great-grandchildren, Nadia, Anya, Judah; and half-sisters, Grace and Naomi. He was preceded in death by half-siblings, Ray, Harry, Martin, Stella and Helen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 17, 2016 at 10:45 a.m. from Kreamer and Lum Funeral Home and Crematory, Rt. 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday December 19, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., with a procession forming at Kreamer and Lum Funeral Home at 9 a.m. There will be a visitation held from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday morning at the funeral home.

Hazel I. Bross, 92, formerly of S. Lebanon Twp., passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, and was welcomed into her Eternal Home with her Savior. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Bross, who passed away in 2016. They celebrated 66 years in marriage.
Hazel was born in Kulpmont, Northumberland County, on January 23, 1929 to the late Ernest and Ruth D. (Miller) Herrington. She was a 1946 Bethel High School graduate. She had worked at Bayer Aspirin in Myerstown and was a salesperson for Avon. She retired from the Officer's Club at the Gap as a hostess, where she also was a waitress. Hazel attended Lebanon Valley Bible Church, New Hope Bible Church, and most recently Faith Baptist, when she was able. She was a fan of the Phillies, the Eagles, and Penn State. Hazel had also been a volunteer for ten years at The Good Samaritan Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and loving her dogs.
Surviving is a daughter, Marsha K. and her husband Craig M. Messinger of Myerstown; a granddaughter Joy and her husband Justin Victor; great grandchildren Nadia, Anya & Judah Victor. Hazel is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, and sister-in-law, Blanche Herrington. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Roy, Claude, an infant brother Ernest, and Paul Herrington.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 11AM from Faith Baptist Church, 220 22nd Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will be held privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. There will be a visitation from 10AM until 11AM at the church.
