29 Dec 1922: Mrs. Sara Ann Bross, wife of Daniel Bross, of near Hamlin, died this morning of pneumonia, after an illness of twelve days. She was aged 62 years and had resided in that community all her life. She was a well known and faithful member of the Church of the Brethren of Fredericksburg, and her loss will be keenly felt in the church. She leaves her husband, six daughters, Mrs. Jacob Markey, of Rehrersburg; Mrs. John Lentz, of Hamlin; Mrs. David Basehore, of Myerstown; Mrs. Ralph Basehore, of Richland; Misses Rebecca and Lydia Bross, both at home; four sons, George, of Bethel, Jacob, of Greble; Samuel and Daniel of Myerstown. Her mother, Mrs. J. E. Meyer, of Fredericksburg, one sister, Mrs. Edward Wenger, of Pinegrove, and two brothers, Solomon and Jacob Meyer, of Fredericksburg, also are left. [Lebanon Daily News]
2 Jan 1923: The funeral of Sarah Ann Bross, wife of Daniel Bross, of Hebron, took place this morning at 9:30 o'clock with services in the Union meeting house in charge of Rev.
Pfautz , and Rev. Elias Edris. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers. Charles Boltz, Stanton Donkle, Frank Walborn and Philip Wolfe. The undertaker was Gerhart of Fredericksburg. [Lebanon Daily News]
