Obituary notes for Beulah M Balsbaugh
Beulah M. Balsbaugh, 101, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, in the Stoneridge Towne Centre, Myerstown formerly the E.C.C. Retirement Village (Albright Campus). She was born on February 9, 1909, in Lebanon Co., daughter of the late Samuel Z. and Leah P. Dubble Balsbaugh. She was a graduate of Myerstown High School (1926), Bauer's Secretarial College, Lebanon (1927); a member of the Myerstown church of the Brethren where she served on numerous committee's of the church, was the church secretary for 15 years, the Women's Fellowship and was the last remaining charter member of the church. Beulah also volunteered at the Lebanon Valley Home of the Brethren, Palmyra until 1979 where she was a member of the Auxiliary and W.C.T.U. She was a retired secretary of the EC Church Center Press, Myerstown with 30 years of service and was employed at the Rohland Funeral Home for 11 years. Beulah is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Amos, LeRoy and Marvin Balsbaugh; sisters, Elsie Eberly, Ruth Oxenreider, Caroline Firestine and Esther Sadler. She was the last of her immediate family. Memorial services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Myerstown Church of the Brethren, 51 W. Stover Ave., Myerstown, PA 17067 where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be made in Heidelberg Cemetery, Myerstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to her church. The Rohland Funeral Home, Lebanon is handling the arrangements. Published in Lebanon Daily News on June 30, 2010
